Finance Officer (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £170 per day

Birds’ Eye View are looking to appoint a Finance Officer to help manage the charity’s finances, keep track of income, control expenditure and oversee accounting processes.

Contract type: Freelance contract for services

Tenure: Fixed term / 12 month fixed term maternity cover.

Hours: 1 day per week (8 hours to be worked flexibly)

Fee: £170 per day

Responsible to: The Director, with support from the Treasurer

Start date: Monday 20  March 2023 with 2 days handover to be undertaken from Wednesday 1 March

The appointed Finance Officer will help to manage the charity’s finances, keeping track of income, controlling expenditure and overseeing accounting processes. Working closely with the Exec Director and Treasurer, they will prepare management accounts and cash flows for the charity on a regular basis in order to aid decision making in support of the charity’s mission.

Main Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping (with Quickbooks)
• Credit Control
• Fortnightly payment runs
• Monthly Reporting
• Working with the Charity’s accountants
