Open City Documentary Festival is looking for individuals to join their film pre-selection panel for the 2022 edition of the festival.
We are seeking committed individuals with a proven interest in non-fiction cinema and this opportunity is suitable for those with some experience in film programming and moving image curation.
Pre-selectors will be expected to watch 78 hours (across feature, mid-length, and short films) between January 2021 and June 2021. They will also be required to take part in one meeting per month with the Open City Documentary Festival Programming team to feedback on their viewing. Candidates can be based anywhere but should be fluent in English (written and verbal).
About us
Based at the UCL Centre for Public Anthropology, Open City Documentary Festival creates an open space in London to nurture and champion the art of non-fiction cinema. The festival takes place in venues across London and consists of international contemporary and retrospective non-fiction film, audio and cross media, as well as filmmaker Q&As, panels, and workshops. The 12 edition of the festival will take place 7-13 September 2022
