Film Hub Wales is looking for a Marketing and Outreach Officer to join their team.

About Film Hub Wales

Film Hub Wales (FHW) celebrates cinema. We fund, train and advise organisations that screen film in Wales, from film festivals to societies and mixed arts centres. Working with over 300 Welsh exhibitors, we aim to bring the best British and international film to all audiences across Wales and the UK.

We’re part of a UK wide network of eight hubs funded by the British Film Institute (BFI) which form the Film Audience Network (FAN), with Chapter as the ‘Film Hub Lead Organisation’ (FHLO) in Wales.

We were also proud to lead the UK Inclusive Cinema strategy on behalf of BFI FAN 2017-23.

Purpose of the role

To support the Hub and its members* to develop audiences for British independent and world cinema across Wales through marketing and outreach activities. This includes a specific ‘spotlight’ project in North Wales and B to B marketing of opportunities to the Hub membership.

  • Contract: June 2024 – 31 March 2026, with potential to extend, subject to confirmation of annual funding (subject to a three-month probationary period).
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (TOIL). Some evening and weekend work necessary
  • Location: One – two office days per week at Chapter in Cardiff, with the option for home-working.

*FHW works with members Wales-wide. Members include but are not limited to film societies, community cinemas, film festivals, commercial independent cinemas, event/pop-up providers, archives, film education providers/institutions, broadcasters, film distributors, multiplexes and wider arts/non-film organisations.
