The BFI is seeking a Film Club Lead Tutor

The BFI is seeking a Film Club Lead Tutor to devise a creative and engaging learning programme for termly Film Clubs, holiday workshops, and Family Fundays, in BFI venues (Southbank and IMAX) and online.

  • Salary: £12,498 to £14,364 (Pro rata full time salary of £24,996 – £28,728)
  • Part time: 20.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE)
  • The BFI supports flexible working

Key responsibilities

  • Develop the termly Film Club Saturday programmes, holiday workshops, and monthly Funday workshops.
  • Prepare marketing materials for the family programme to meet marketing deadlines.
  • Deliver the family programme within the framework of existing health and safety and safeguarding guidelines and respond to any updates through additional training.
  • Take overall responsibility for evaluation gathering at the end of each term or programme.

Skills & experience

  • Hold a teaching qualification or equivalent relevant experience working educationally or in a leadership context with young people (8 to 16 years old).
  • Experience of leading and facilitating workshops.
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
  • The ability to adapt quickly and easily to changing situations.
