The BFI is seeking for a Project Officer – BFI Film Academy and Education (FTC until March 2020) to work closely with the Project Director – BFI Film Academy to assist in the day to day delivery of the programme, with particular oversight of recruitment and outreach, participant management and the delivery of alumni events and activities. This role will also provide more general administration support across the Education and Skills team as needed.

The BFI Film Academy is a UK-wide initiative providing opportunities and training for talented and committed young people aged 16-19 from all backgrounds to develop new skills and build a career within the film industry. The BFI is working with over 47 delivery partners across the UK to deliver this ambitious programme, running courses to approximately 1000 young people a year. It is funded by the Department for Education in England, the National Lottery, Northern Ireland Screen and Screen Scotland.

To be successful you will have experience in either programme coordination experience in an arts organisation and/or events management with an understanding and appreciation of arts education. Experience of coordinating creative marketing campaigns and events coordination experience essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with presentation skills are required and the ability to work with initiative and take on responsibility where appropriate.
