The BFI’s Festival team is looking for an experienced Producer, on a three-year-contract basis from April 2019 through to March 2022, to oversee large-scale production operations for BFI London Film Festival and to manage the team who work on production and delivery of BFI Flare: London LGBTQ+ Film Festival. It’s an exciting time to join the Festival’s team, with both events thriving as they collectively reach public audiences of over 225,000 each year.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of both Festivals, from working with our events company to deliver Headline Gala Red Carpets, to managing a team to deliver all other Festivals’ screenings, events and complex operations, including ticketing and transportation. The role involves significant stakeholder relationship management, logistical planning and delivery and management of a substantial production budget.

You will work closely with the BFI Festivals Director and the Festivals Head of Business & Operations to appoint and manage a team of temporary staff, oversee security and any other external event delivery contracts, and also work closely with exhibition partners, police and local councils in delivering our world class Film Festivals to an exemplary standard.

You will be highly motivated and organised, a decisive, confident leader who is persuasive while also being a positive and collaborative colleague and partner. You will also have worked extensively in Film Festival environments or related fields, and have excellent understanding of the film exhibition and events production sectors.
