Festival Volunteers

Women Over 50 Film Festival

Lewes

Salary: Unpaid (£10 per day expenses)

20th – 23rd September 2018

Women Over 50 Film Festival celebrates the work of older women on both sides of the camera. We look to them to drive our stories – as film-makers and performers – and invite you to become part of Women Over 50 Film Festival family.

WOFFF is a volunteer-led and volunteer-run Community Interest Company. We’re a friendly, inclusive bunch and would love you to become part of our community. Everyone is welcome at WOFFF. Anyone can submit a film to WOFFF or attend our events: there’s no age limit, and all genders are invited to submit films and come to our festival.

The next festival will launch on Thursday 20th September at Picturehouse Duke of York’s in Brighton, the oldest cinema in continuous use in Britain. This will be followed by three days of workshops, films and Q&As from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd at Depot, a new independent 3-screen cinema with café restaurant, bar, education room, editing suite and garden in Lewes, East Sussex.

We are looking for volunteers with excellent communication skills and a friendly manner to join the WOFFF team. You will help usher guests into the cinema, answer visitor questions, manage guest lists and much more besides. This is an excellent opportunity to gain some experience of film festivals, meet new people and make new friends, as well as see some great films.

Volunteers will be based at Depot in Lewes and will be provided with a free volunteer t-shirt. As a thank you for helping us, we will give you last minute entry to screenings and workshops, space permitting, and £10 per day to cover your travel and food.

To apply, please complete our Volunteer Application form here.
