The BFI is looking for volunteers to assist in a variety of areas across the BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival 2024, which is taking place at BFI Southbank from 13-24 March 2024.
About the roles
BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Festival will take place at BFI Southbank, 13 to 24 March 2024. Volunteers are an important part of our festival, supporting us to deliver great experiences to our audiences alongside gaining an insight into Film Festival delivery and some of the skills associated with this.
If you have a keen interest in LGBTQIA+ film, learning more about BFI Flare, and can freely give your time to support us to deliver this brilliant festival, we’d love to hear from you. We typically need support with hospitality, meeting and greeting guests, signposting, providing support and information, and supporting with special events.
Volunteers will be based at BFI Southbank (nearest station is Waterloo) and volunteering tasks will vary across the festival. We will work with you to agree upfront the time you would like to give to the festival against a set schedule of delivery.
Expenses for travel (public transport within London Zones 1-6) will be reimbursed, and we will provide you with food and refreshments. Volunteers will also get to experience the buzz of the festival and the films and events we put on as part of this.
Our volunteering opportunities are open to everyone. We don’t need you to have prior experience of film or events management, so if you don’t think our Flare volunteering opportunities are for you, please think again. We want to hear from you and why you’d like to get involved.
All volunteers must be 18 years old or above for health and safety reasons.
To apply or find out more information about the role, please submit your expression of interest by Monday 12th February at 11:00pm by using this link.
