Festival Volunteers

Hebden Bridge Film Festival

Hebden Bridge

Salary: Unpaid

Hebden Bridge Film Festival is looking for friendly, proactive volunteers to join the festival team.

The festival takes place in Hebden Bridge 27 – 29 March with screenings at both the beautifully restored Hebden Bridge Picture House cinema and Town Hall. The Town Hall will also act at the film festival hub where filmmakers and film lovers can come together and experience the wonderful community spirit the historic town is famous for.

The weekend will celebrate films by or about those who dare to be different, whether they exist in the margins, sit outside the mainstream or just plain don’t fit in. These will be complemented by Q&As and panel discussions. The 2019 inaugural Hebden Bridge Film Festival attracted over 2,250 people across the weekend with guests including Maxine Peake and Jessica Hynes.

As a volunteer, you will be the friendly face of the festival and a key source of information, welcoming people to the town, venues and screenings — opportunities during the weekend include front of house, ushering, ticketing and guest liaison.

We are looking for volunteers to help immediately as well as during the festival weekend. If you are interested in joining the team before the festival begins, we are looking for support within our core operations including administration, filming, technical production, finance, events, marketing, fundraising and sponsorship.

If you are interested in becoming part of the team please email volunteers@hebdenbridgefilmfestival.org with a bit of information about yourself, your skills and what you’re interested in working on. Please also include your availability in the lead up to the festival.
