Festival Volunteers

Crossing the Screen International Film Festival

Eastbourne

Salary: Unpaid

Crossing the Screen International Film Festival is currently looking for enthusiastic and hard-working volunteers to help with the 4th edition 2019.

Overview

Volunteering for our Festival is a great way to get valuable experience and exposure for those trying to break into the film, arts and events industries. We offer a variety of positions and roles, which include guest liaison, marketing, ticketing, ushering, assisting festival staff, office work, event support and more.

Volunteers can choose between different levels of commitment with flexible scheduling. Full-Time Volunteers work every day of the Festival on an assigned schedule, but can see an unlimited number of films while not on shift.

Requirements

We are looking for proactive individuals with a positive attitude and friendly, smiley manners. Each volunteer should be available on the dates of the event and be aware that extra commitment may be involved in the form of briefing sessions prior to the event.

We will accept volunteers from all backgrounds. However, please keep in mind that each volunteer should be able to understand English and speak it fluently.

We cannot provide accommodation nor travel arrangements and all the positions are unpaid. ALL Volunteers must be aged 18 or older.

Benefits

  • Screenings pass: volunteer access to unlimited Festival screenings through the volunteer line on a space available basis (when not volunteering, of course!)
  • Uniform: T-shirt/hoodie and volunteer credential.
  • Party: Free access to networking events and closing night party.
  • Refreshments: Light snacks and refreshments for volunteers to come get when not on shift. These snacks are not meant to replace meals which volunteers are responsible for providing themselves.

If you would like to get involved, please read the requirements and apply on our website. We will review your application and get in touch with you.
