MiraBan UK Film Awards (MUFA) is a British, London-based, IMDb Qualifying Film Festival focused on diversity in auteur movies.

Member of Film Hub London and BFI FAN, MUFA provides a spotlight for under-represented, emerging, and experienced independent filmmakers.

Responsibilities

As a Festival Runner Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the event.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with event set-up and tear-down.
  • Providing guest assistance and guidance.
  • Helping with transportation of materials.
  • Distributing badges, tickets, and programs.
  • Offering support to artists, VIPs, and special guests.
  • Managing crowd flow and maintaining order.
  • Assisting with technical setups.
  • Supporting the Career Expo networking event.
  • Managing a lost and found area.
  • Being prepared for emergency response.
  • Staffing information desks.
  • Providing general assistance as needed.
Volunteer’s commitment

To excel in this role, you should commit to:

  • Attend a mandatory volunteer orientation session (if required).
  • Be punctual and arrive at the event location on time for assigned shifts.
  • Complete assigned tasks to the best of your ability.
  • Treat all attendees, staff, and volunteers with respect and professionalism.
  • Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by the Organiser.

This is an unpaid position but you will receive meals during the festival and reasonable travel costs will be reimbursed.

Further details

This volunteer position is for the duration of the MiraBan UK Film Awards, from 25-26 November 2023. A detailed schedule will be provided in advance.

Volunteers should be based in London or the surrounding areas.
