London Short Film Festival are seeking to recruit a confident and experienced Festival Producer who will become an integral part of the close-knit and dynamic LSFF team.

About the role

The Festival Producer will lead and manage all aspects of festival production for LSFF 2022, which takes place across London from 14th-23rd January 2022.

Freelance fixed term contract: October 2021 – February 2022, 5 month contract, 5 days per week, 30k pro rata

Key responsibilities
  • Managing funding and sponsor relationships
  • Maintaining relationships with venues, supporters and partners.
  • Compiling and distributing schedules and planning documents to all staff
  • Maintaining a detailed timeline and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Diversity and feedback recording, monitoring and compiling overall festival feedback from audiences, staff and partners
  • Overseeing full team programming meetings and documenting progress and actionpoints
  • Be an integral voice in making key decisions for LSFF 2022, for example: questions around online platform pricing, where to place priorities for budget and resources
  • Coordinating trailer delivery, website and brochure build – working closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure strong, cohesive branding
  • Ensuring all communications with selected and competition filmmakers is clear and dealing with queries as they arise
  • Taking responsibility for budget and financial management, including reporting
  • Coordinating online platform build technical partners – ensuring that they have the most correct and up to date information (film credits, copy, images etc)
  • Coordinating geo-blocking films where requested
  • Overseeing the subtitling process with our technical partners
  • Overseeing and managing all in-venue staff
  • Ensure that we have the correct certification necessary for screening to take place
  • Organise and manage all equipment hire and set dressing where necessary
Person specification – Minimum Requirements
  • Experience of working on festival/s in a production role essential
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience of coordinating complex management systems
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Effective line management experience
  • Excellent communication skills in person, and over telephone and email
  • Experience of writing and researching funding applications and reports (desired)
  • Able to take accountability and ownership of complex situations
