Festival Education Coordinator

Salary: £23,433 - £27,414

The BFI is recruiting for a Festival Education Coordinator to oversee the successful delivery of the BFI Future Film Festival, London Film Festival Education programme and the Flare Film Festival Education programme.

Both LFF Education and Flare Education programmes support primary, secondary school and 6th form college students and teachers, and independent young people aged 16-25 access some of the best films and educational events across the festivals. The BFI Future Film Festival is the largest Film Industry Festival for young people aged 16-25, inspiring young people to make films and providing them our audience with insights and advice to help them pursue careers in the Film, TVand creative industries.

In particular you will be responsible for the coordination and administration of our festival education programmes, liaising with internal and external stakeholdersto ensure the successful delivery of these programmes, and being the first point of contact with filmmakers, talent and guest speakers who will be attending our Education festivals. You will also liaise with our festival partners, film schools and other education establishments and partners to promote ticket sales and attendance to a wide audience of young people and educationalists.

To be successful you will have a proven track record of delivering and leading work with younger audiences in both education and the informal sector. You will have a good understanding of the film and TV industries in the UK and be familiar with new and emerging filmmaking technologies. You will have experience delivering events, ideally in a festival or multi-events setting.
