Screen Scotland are looking for an Executive Officer to join their team.

About the role

Screen Scotland has an ambitious remit to develop and grow the film and TV sectors. The Executive Officer supports our strategic leadership team in the delivery of Creative Scotland’s 10-year plan, Unlocking Potential, Embracing Ambition.

The Executive Officer will support the work of the Executive Director and Director of Screen, you will be an active member of the Screen Scotland team and be responsible for a wide range of senior management administration, research, reporting and project related activities including financial management on a day-to-day basis.

The post holder will be responsible for the annual cycle of governance meetings and ensure these are resourced and managed in accordance with Screen Scotland’s plans and priorities. The role will be secretariat for the executive meetings and provide support to the Screen Sub-committees of the Creative Scotland board, maintaining relevant internal documents, policies, budgets, procedures and guidance notes. In addition, you will lead on other projects and participate in cross-organisational groups (across Screen Scotland and Creative Scotland) and be responsible for managing all management information for colleagues, senior team and external bodies.

  • Salary: £29,285 – £37,304 (Grade C) plus pension and benefits
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Full-time: 36 hours per week
About you

Our ideal candidate will have significant experience of operating at senior administration and/or project management level with exceptional organisational skills. You will be able to demonstrate your experience of producing high level reports and business papers for senior staff. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to build relationships quickly and have a positive approach to team working.

Experience of, or interest in screen in Scotland would be advantageous, be it in production, exhibition or training/skills development. Equally, experience of public sector administration within government, local government or a non-departmental public body would be an advantage.
