Executive Director

Salary: £30,000 (plus performance-related bonus)

The Phoenix in East Finchley is looking for a new Executive Director to lead its staff team during an exciting time for the cinema. The cinema is currently seeking new ways to maintain its status as an independently-run venue, including a major fundraising focus and transformation initiatives across its operations. The postholder will play a central role, working with the Programme and Learning Director and Board of trustees to maintain the cinema as a leading independent cinema arts venue, while finding new ways to ensure it is financially sustainable as a charitable organisation.

The role offers the opportunity to take a leading role on all aspects of cinema management, from working with the Operations Manager on front of house issues and technical matters relating to the historic building to developing a long-term fundraising and development strategy with the board. The board is seeking an energetic and ambitious individual who can show strong leadership while working as part of a team effort to take the Phoenix into the future.
