Events Producer (Maternity Cover)

Salary: 27k pro rata

Birds’ Eye View are looking to appoint an Events Producer to input on the creation and lead on the production and delivery of all Reclaim The Frame events, in person, and online.

Contract type/tenure: Salaried / 12 month fixed term maternity cover.

Hours: 3 days per week (24 hours to be worked flexibly, incl evening/weekend work)

Responsible to: Head of Programmes & Audience Development

Location: Remote, with office space available in London. Regular attendance at London events is required.

Start date: Monday 20 March 2023 with 3 days handover to be undertaken from Wednesday 1 March

The appointed Events Producer will input on the creation and lead on the production and delivery of all Reclaim The Frame events, in person, and online. As first point of contact for our 20+ partner cinemas in 15 cities across the UK, the Events Producer will play a key part in connecting women & non-binary led films with a diverse range of audiences. Working closely with Birds’ Eye View’s Head of Programmes & Audience Development, your role will uphold a high standard in the smooth delivery of safe, accessible, inclusive, and culturally relevant events.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Input on the creation, and lead on the production and delivery, of all Reclaim The Frame screenings and events, in person and online;
  • Act as first point of contact for partner cinemas across the UK, encouraging the bookings of Reclaim The Frame titles, securing venues for events, collating and responding to feedback;
  • Lead on the delivery of London based events and work to support the work of our regional Impact Producers in the delivery of events in the nations and regions;
  • Feed into the planning and reporting for partner distributors/funders;
  • Work with Access Consultant to coordinate creation and delivery of accessible versions of Reclaim The Frame supported films where not already available and ensuring that accessible versions of films, trailers and marketing materials are a part of distributor negotiation and collaboration;
  • Working with our Access Consultant to ensure all events are as accessible as possible, arranging access materials such as descriptive subtitles and audio description where not already available and booking live captioning and/ or BSL/English interpreters for pre or post-screening activity;
  • Responsible for producing and distributing  call sheets, and for the safe, inclusive, welcoming and smooth delivery of events;
  • Work on the promotion and outreach of events, coordinating guest lists, and on social media coverage on the night;
  • Book and coordinate  speakers, performers and workshop facilitators for events, booking travel and accommodation as required;
  • Produce and distribute surveys and obtain and process box office results for reporting purposes.
