Strand Arts Centre in Belfast is seeking an Events & Digital Marketing Coordinator.

This is an exciting full time ‘entry level’ post including a career development package – fixed term contract of three years with a view to the position becoming self-sustainable thereafter.

Strand Arts Centre is a multi-artform arts centre with cinema facilities which is housed in N.I.’s oldest picture house. They deliver a diverse programme of arts events and activities that support artists, performers and facilitators whilst inspiring, educating and encouraging increased engagement in the arts and creative industries by the east Belfast community.

The role

Strand Arts Centre is creating an exciting new full-time position for an individual to enter, or progress within, the arts sector. You will be line-managed and mentored by the Strand’s Marketing Manager and will also work closely with, and receive support from, our Programme, Heritage, Operations and Front of House Managers.

This role will give you the chance not just to develop marketing skills and experience, but also to learn about the wider organisation and contribute to its overall success.

About you

Strand Arts Centre is looking for someone with a passion for film, arts and community. The marketing and management tasks involve attracting, co-creating and coordinating events for community groups, charities and corporates whose objectives vary between fundraising, awareness raising or morale-building. Meeting these clients’ objectives through creative or cultural activities will demonstrate the value of the arts and undoubtedly result in both greater levels of cultural engagement by individuals as well as further cross-sectoral collaborations.

Key details

  • Working hours: 37.5 hours across a 5 day week, primarily based at Strand Arts Centre
  • Remuneration: £20,000 per annum plus 3% employer’s pension contribution
  • Annual leave: 28 days including statutory holidays
  • Interviews will take place on: Friday 10th June
