Events Development Coordinator

Broadway

Nottingham

Salary: £24,356

Broadway is looking for an Events Development Coordinator, to grow our programme of film courses, and develop a programme of immersive film events that will enhance the audience viewing experience.

About Broadway

Broadway is a nationally recognised cultural leader, bringing the world of independent British and international film culture to Nottingham, inspiring creativity and a lifelong love of film.

Our education remit includes deepening audiences’ appreciation of cinema through a programme of film courses. We have ambitions to expand our programme offer, and this role will be front and centre in driving this exciting work.

We also plan to build on our track record of thrilling and immersive film experiences, with an annual programme of immersive events, to set us apart from the more typical cinema experience; and again this role will be key to achieving this.

About the role

This role is for you if you have a track record of successful events coordination, of varying scale up to and including 100 participants, and which may have been in a community, commercial or arts context.

Genuinely collaborative, and able to champion new approaches to work in a way that brings people with you, you will have experience of making events accessible and inclusive of traditionally underrepresented or excluded communities, and will have a passion for creativity and film, and for creating opportunities for others to share in this.

Hours: 37.5 per week
Contract: Fixed-term contract until 31 March 2025

Please find a job description, person specification, and application form below.

We support diversity and inclusion, and as an organisation recognise that we need to address underrepresentation within our teams. Therefore, we encourage applications from global majority communities that are not adequately represented in our workforce, people living with disabilities, and all socio-economic backgrounds.

Additional benefits include workplace pension (conditions apply), complimentary cinema tickets and reduced price meals in our Café Bar.
