Films worth talking about. The Centre for the Moving Image incorporates the world’s longest continually running film festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival,  as well as Scotland’s two leading independent cinemas, Filmhouse, Edinburgh, and the Belmont Filmhouse in Aberdeen.

We’re looking for someone confident, passionate and proactive to join our team and play a key role in developing and delivering the education and learning programmes at Filmhouse and EIFF, aiming to inspire and engage people of all ages with film, and with Filmhouse and EIFF.

Based in our Edinburgh office, you will plan and coordinate our popular programmes with schools, teachers, young people and senior citizens, as well as write copy for our publications, support the year round work of Filmhouse and the annual events at EIFF, and help promote projects and activities to build our audiences.

The right candidate will have a passion for film and film education, experience in arts administration and working with young people, demonstrable organisational skills including excellent computer literacy, and the ability to work well with a wide range of partners and stakeholders as well as under your own initiative.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the CMI.
