Duty Manager

Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 dependent on experience

The Cinema in the Arches are looking to hire a motivated and dedicated Duty Manager to join their team.

Split between the iconic Battersea Power Station and under the railway arches beside it, The Cinema in the Power Station is an exciting new project in the heart of southwest London. Boasting an impressive sound system, a variety of snacks and drinks and a team of friendly staff!

Responsibilities:

  • Serving customers (customer satisfaction is top priority for us!)
  • Opening and closing the cinema
  • Managing a team of 15—20 staff and running shifts
  • Stocktaking, ordering and stock analysis
  • Fire safety and fire alarm tests
  • Health and Safety training and management
  • Day-to-day admin
  • Basic film projection (digital)
  • Liaising with contractors and software providers
  • Event management and organization
  • Film scheduling using Rosetta Bridge
  • Creating social media posts on Twitter & Facebook

Preferable skills/experience:

  • Customer service
  • Can work evenings and weekends
  • Punctuality and time management
  • Management experience isn’t essential but will contribute strongly towards your application
  • Any experience working within a cinema previously isn’t essential, but will contribute towards your application
  • Any experience using Veezi/Vista/Rosetta or any other ticket booking system is not essential, but will contribute towards your application
  • Any experience using Rosetta Bridge or Dolby interfaces is not essential but will contribute towards your application
  • Alcohol licence holder, first aid training and health & safety training isn’t essential but will help your application. Once your 3-month probation period has ended, these will either be refreshed or provided to the right applicant.
