Director of Business Affairs

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Rocket Science is looking for a Director of Business Affairs to join their team.

Established in London in 2016, ROCKET SCIENCE has rapidly established itself as one of Europe’s preeminent film & tv brands. In a short time, ROCKET SCIENCE has developed, financed, packaged, produced and distributed over three dozen critically acclaimed and commercially successful projects worth in excess of $1BN.

Role responsibilities

• Negotiating and drafting international distribution licence agreements and various legal documents, such as notices, contract summaries, deal memos, side letters.
• Reviewing and approving legal delivery items and assisting Rocket Science’s delivery team with delivery of film assets to international distributors; monitoring contractual delivery dates.
• Pre-production related queries and tasks, including preparation and submission of legal documentation, and collateral tracking for financiers for film closings.
• Various other Business Affairs activities, including internal and external contract queries.

Job requirements

• 1-2 years of Business Affairs experience in a film or TV production/sales company.
• Strong ability to report precisely and succinctly, both internally with fellow colleagues and externally with international business partners.
• Proficiency with the Office Package, including excel.
• Meticulous organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify priorities and manage numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional languages are a plus.
• Must be a team player

Contract type: Permanent
