Director

Salary: £30,600

LUX Scotland is seeking an outstanding Director to lead the organisation and support its consolidation as the primary agency for the support and exhibition of artists’ moving image in Scotland.

The LUX Scotland Director will work collaboratively with the LUX Director to develop and implement the artistic vision and strategic direction of the organisation, and ensure the effective management of the staff team, its operations, activities and finances. The Director will provide leadership for the organisation and lead on its public programme of exhibitions, commissions, festivals, screenings, touring projects, learning and professional development; oversee the establishment of a new collection of artists’ moving image in Scotland; hold overall responsibility for LUX Scotland’s financial viability and long-term sustainability, including developing fundraising and income generation strategies; and develop and manage partnerships nationally and internationally.

The LUX Scotland Director will represent the organisation at relevant forums on a local, national and international level. The position will require some evening and weekend work, travel to the LUX London office, and some national and international travel.
