ABOUT MOVING PICTURES CINEMA

We are a new, beautiful boutique, single-screen cinema soon to launch in South London, situated in a thriving market community space with a weekend footfall in excess of 2,000 customers.

The cinema will show the latest films, independent and cult classics, as well as family favourites. The bar will offer a range of good quality lines, focusing on ‘craft’ rather than quantity brands.

The cinema will also run a comedy night, community activities, host premieres, film festivals and industry film masterclasses.

Founded by two film makers for film lovers – we love film because that’s what we do!

DIGITAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA PRODUCER

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate film lover to work with us as our Digital and Social Media Producer. We are a team who love everything about film with big ambitions.

We are looking for a someone who is immersed into digital culture who’ll manage our website, produce and create social content for all social channels.

You have the opportunity to be really creative, from concept, creation through to publishing. You’re able to shoot and edit video and know all the latest social creative tools.

You’ll be responsible for driving awareness and promotion for the launch of a cinema, bar and film school and converting people from film fans to people who love to come to the cinema, take classes or engage in many of the other exciting events.

You will need to be able to generate ideas, be a self-starter and have excellent communication, design and production skills.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to develop their creative content skills, knowledge and experience. It’s fast-paced, but the opportunity to grow and be part of an exciting story.
The role will be demanding, but rewarding, and the successful candidate must be able to work using their own initiative and be enthusiastic and passionate.

THE ROLE:

• Day to day responsibility for creating and managing all social media, update website with latest film information and other relevant content as well as design and manage newsletter workflow.
• The ability to conceptualise and create compelling content that delivers results, in this case people booking tickets, creating social advocates, identifying influencers to help gain credible momentum and conversion.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• A good understanding of production: including shooting, editing video and photography.
• A passion or all things social media and a pulse for knowing what works on social media and the latest features.
• A positive, creative and enthusiastic attitude.
• Proficient in using content management systems.
• Ability to work independently and part of a small team

YOU:

You will have experience of:

• WordPress
• Social media: publishing and management by channel
• Graphic design (Adobe Creative Cloud applications and Illustrator)
• Shooting, producing and editing video (Adobe After Effects/ Premier Pro or similar)
• Mailchimp and Hootsuite
• Google Analytics and social media reporting and interpretation skills to use data to inform creative

This is a 12-month fixed term contract for a Digital content Producer paying £20,000 per annum.
