Salary: £46,362 - £54,762 per annum

The British Film Institute is looking for three Digital Product Managers who will play an important part in the new BFI ten-year strategy: Screen Culture 2033.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for three Digital Product Managers who will play an important part in the new BFI ten-year strategy – Screen Culture 2033 – which sets out how we will advance our knowledge, collections, programmes, National Lottery funding and leadership to build a diverse UK screen culture that benefits all of society.

Digital access to BFI programmes – and our digital revenues – are critical to help us realise our vision. The potential to deliver more of our work digitally presents us with a huge and transformative cultural opportunity.

The digital ambition is that by 2033, we will have radically reformed all BFI services by making them easy to use and widely available online, reaching more people and delivering more of our cultural programme digitally.

Digital Product Manager (Heritage)

We look after one of the largest and most important collections of film and television in the world. Our teams of experts ensure that the collection is preserved and developed for future generations and made accessible to today’s audiences

This role will work in collaboration with the Knowledge and Collections team to consolidate and evolve the digital platforms and products we use for collections’ discovery and interpretation, to evaluate data and research to deepen our understanding of digital heritage users and to create engaging ways for a broader audience to interact with our collections online.

Digital Product Manager (Intranet)

Our new intranet is about culture change and designing a service which will help all BFI staff easily access information and communications. This role will work in collaboration with a wide range of BFI teams and content owners to develop the intranet as an easy-to-use, must-visit destination for all BFI staff.

Digital Product Manager (Venues & Ticketing)

This role will work with the venues’ programming, marketing and box office teams to consolidate and evolve the BFI Southbank, BFI IMAX and BFI festivals platforms – guiding development of these products to support a frictionless experience for our customers when browsing our rich cultural programmes and buying tickets.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Experience of digital product or service design development with experience across web and mobile platforms.
  • Strong experience in applying user-centred design and data-driven approaches.
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Self-motivated and collaborative: happy working alone and in project teams.
  • Strong understanding of technology and familiarity with the software development process.
  • Experience using reporting tools such as Google Analytics.

At the BFI you’ll enjoy benefits such as excellent support for working parents, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), tickets to BFI festivals and events, plus many others.

We support diversity and inclusion, and as an organisation recognise that we need to address under representation within our teams.
