Tyneside Cinema is looking for a Data Manager.
The Data Manager will lead on the collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of customer data to enable Tyneside Cinema to effectively deliver its business objectives, drive income generation and develop audiences. This is a new, pivotal role located in the marketing team, which will support and collaborate with a range of colleagues including programming, fundraising and finance.

The Data Manager will be responsible for providing accurate, robust and timely data to the rest of the organisation to ensure it is used to continually improve and inform our decision-making. This reporting will include campaigns, memberships, business and finance, sales and marketing, programming, fundraising, and hires and events, as required for KPI’s, funders, partners and stakeholders and other business needs.

The post-holder will work with the Box Office/customer data system (currently Vista), and be the super-user of this for the organisation. They will ensure the right data is captured and reported upon to influence strategic business decisions. They will play an important role in building and developing rich and personalised relationships between the cinema and its customers through developing and overseeing the running of excellent systems and procedures for the Box Office system. This will include overseeing the processes for Tyneside Cinema’s membership schemes for Friends, Corporate Friends, Donors and Young Tyneside card-holders.

They will work with the Duty Box Office Manager to ensure that the front of house team are fully briefed on appropriate sales, transactions and membership processes. They will identify opportunities to improve and streamline systems, maximise profitability and provide essential behind the scenes support to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will be the lead point of contact with the box office supplier, ensuring the smooth running of the system and maintaining integrity and accuracy of data. They will also have a strong awareness of data practices and the new GDPR guidelines playing a key role in ensuring the Cinema’s compliance.
