Coordinator

Bohemia Media

London

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Bohemia Media is seeking a new Coordinator.

Bohema Media is looking for someone to join Bohemia Media as Coordinator to offer general assistance to the team with a view to gaining a comprehensive view of multiple aspects within film distribution.

Bohemia Media works on titles that are made by historically marginalised groups, such as LGBTQ+ folks, disabled people, and those from ethnically diverse backgrounds, to name a few. We release our titles in the UK, North America and Australia & New Zealand, encompassing theatrical, non-theatrical and digital distribution strategies, offering grassroots marketing that is tailored to the communities that will best register with the film. We also have our own in-house resources to be able to offer our titles a carefully curated release campaign, including our streaming platform, Bohemia Euphoria, and our pub venue with a screening space, The Apple Tree.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to break into the industry and rapidly progress their career by liaising with all kinds of filmmakers, programmers, sales agents and finance parties.

Day-to-day duties will likely to consist of:

  • General admin and organisational duties, such as organising delivery of acquired titles, maintaining databases, raising and filing invoices, ensuring documents are correctly uploaded to relevant folders on Google Drive, and some diary management
  • To be the point of contact between filmmakers and other collaborators across releases
  • Assisting with distribution tasks, such as researching audience data, DCP and poster delivery, liaising with exhibition partners, film festivals and other collaborators on theatrical and non-theatrical screenings
  • Liaising with PR agencies/ freelancers to provide any assistance they need
  • Providing support to acquisitions tasks such as reviewing screeners, writing script reports, assisting with rights management and updating trackers
  • Researching and reaching out to grassroots organisations to help with marketing on Bohemia titles
  • Managing social media accounts for Bohemia Media and Bohemia Euphoria, with opportunities to create content and conversations
  • Supporting The Apple Tree team by curating and organising screenings at the pub, and offering curation assistance on Bohemia Euphoria as well.

This is a full-time, permanent position located in London.
