Cinema Venue Coordinator

Salary: £19,778.72 (per year) full time, or the equivalent £10.28 (per hour) depending on hours worked.

Hyde Park Picturehouse is looking for two Cinema Venue Coordinators. 

PURPOSE OF JOB

Cinema Venue Coordinators will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the venue and all audience facing activity at the cinema, creating an environment where staff and volunteers feel trusted, empowered, and engaged, and where audiences feel welcome.

Their principal role, working within a small team of Cinema Venue Coordinators, Services Coordinators, Projectionists and Venue Volunteers, is to serve customers and to maintain a friendly, clean, and efficient work environment. This will include assisting with general administration, day-to-day upkeep of the building and equipment, whilst working closely with other teams across both the cinema and the wider Charity.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

• Responsible for the smooth opening, closing, and operation of the cinema.
• Be the primary point of contact for audiences, guests, and partners, ensuring that the highest standards of customer care are always maintained, including dealing with customer comments, questions, and complaints.
• Serve customers at the box office/kiosk, selling tickets, concessions, and merchandise.
• Maintain a high standard of organisation and cleanliness within the box office/kiosk area, along with the seating areas and the auditorium.
• Collaborate as a team with projection and other HPPH staff.
• Supervise and support the volunteer team.
• Perform a variety of administrative duties to assist the functioning of the cinema.
• Support and actively promote our membership, accessibility, and donation schemes.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Positions Available: Two full time (37 hours) and a variety of part time positions (days and hours dependent on candidate’s availability, and the needs of the cinema. No less than 4 hours per single shift).
• Contract type: Full or part time permanent employment contract.
• Salary: £19,778.72 (per year) full time, or the equivalent £10.28 (per hour) depending on hours worked.
• Holiday Entitlement: 20 days + bank holidays if full time or allocated proportionally if part time.
