Cinema Technicians (Part-time, Full-time)

Salary: £13 per hour

Electric Cinema White City & White City Screening Rooms are recruiting for two Cinema Technicians / Projectionists, one full-time and one part-time.

Located in the heart of the former BBC Television Centre White City, is Electric Cinema White City & White City Screening Rooms is part public cinema and part members screening room.

The 44-seat Screen 1 is open to the public and is our Electric-branded auditorium, with a programme of the best new releases from across the world. Screen 2 (32 seats) provides daily screenings for our Soho House Members, screening up to 20 different films a week on top of a regular events schedule. Screen 3 (27 seats) is popular for private hires and our clients range from premieres, film festivals, distributor screenings, press launches, private parties and filmmakers’ rushes.

The site is fully digital with 4K laser phosphor projection in all screens, Dolby Atmos, 3D and satellite capabilities. As such these positions require a wide range of skills including knowledge and experience of all forms of film and video formats. AV/IT knowledge and experience is preferred as well as the ability to work with different computer systems and processes.

The ideal candidates will have a minimum 2 years’ technical cinema experience, will be flexible and hands-on, able to work well within a team, and comfortable liaising with clients.

As well as the technical aspects mentioned above, the role will require the meeting, greeting and seating of our guests and members. A friendly and personable attitude is therefore key.

Full-time role

Candidates will be required to work 40-45 hours a week, including weekends, and be available to work across other Soho House & Co sites like the Electric Cinema Portobello and Soho House 76 Dean Street.

Part-time role

Candidates will be required to work 20-25 hours a week, including weekends, and be available to work across other Soho House & Co sites like the Electric Cinema Portobello and Soho House 76 Dean Street.
