Cinema Programmer

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000

Part time, 3.5 days per week

JW3 has a 62-seater cinema, which screens around 18 screenings per week, comprising a mixture of new releases and specially curated screenings and events. Additionally, the venue has a hall space in which Live Arts and occasional other screenings can be programmed.

We’re looking for a Cinema Programmer to join our Arts and Culture team, as part of the outstanding team of programmers here at JW3. This role is for someone with a knowledge of and passion for cinema. This person should have an understanding in contemporary developments in the cinema industry as well as a knowledge of Jewish culture. You should also have experience of programming film screenings and related events for a range of audiences whether within cinemas, film festivals or other contexts. Experience of working with distributors, film festivals and other relevant film organisations will help, as will a range of useful networks and contacts to draw from.

Your role would include developing and managing a regular year-round cinema schedule, often with key partners, as well as programming special screenings and related events for external film festivals and in-house cross-arts festivals.
