Phoenix, Leicester is looking to recruit a Cinema Programme Assistant to support its diverse cinema programme.

The Cinema Programme Assistant supports the Cinema Programme Manager in a broad range of activities to deliver and develop Phoenix’s cinema programme.

Phoenix is an independent cinema and charity that aims to enrich lives and celebrate diversity and ambition in film and art. Our curatorial policy aims to provide a ‘window on the world’ by offering diverse cultural perspectives. We aim to produce a programme that is locally and culturally relevant working with a range of partner organisations.

Phoenix is supported by the British Film Institute and aims to increase Leicester’s diversity of film offer, audience engagement and to support wider development of the independent cinema sector. Reporting to the Cinema Programme Manager, the Cinema Programme Assistant will take responsibility for essential tasks that are required to deliver and enrich the Phoenix cinema programme.

The role is a significant professional development opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and experience within the independent cinema industry, and marks an exciting time to join Phoenix as we work towards Phoenix 2020, a major extension and refurbishment programme which aims to add two additional cinema screens.
