The BFI are seeking a team of seasonal Cinema Hosts to play a vital role in supporting their busy front of house and cinema operations at BFI IMAX during the exciting upcoming summer blockbuster season.

Fixed Term Contract: 19 June 2023 to 31 August 2023

Part Time: 8 hours per week

Key responsibilities of a Cinema Host include:

  • Providing a first class welcome to all visitors to the BFI IMAX.
  • Working in Front of House, ticketing, food and beverage areas to deliver an excellent level of customer service.
  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and quality in all areas at all times.
  • Taking every opportunity to learn new skills and use initiative to improve the customer experience.
  • Maximising sales opportunities in every interaction.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have previous experience in a customer facing operational role.
  • Are excellent and inspiring communicators with a passion for seeking out any opportunity to engage with customers.
  • Are a self-starter who is committed and results focused with a willingness to collaborate and work together as a team to get things done.
  • Are passionate about film and moving image cinema.

This role is based at our BFI IMAX site at London Waterloo and is advertised as minimum 8 hours per week on a fixed term basis from 19 June 2023 until 31 August 2023 to support our blockbuster season. If successful you will be working on a shift rota basis covering Friday to Thursday, with late, overnight, bank holiday and weekend shifts to be expected.
