We are looking for a talented AV Technician with a strong technical background to work within us to deliver our ambitious plans for the future.
BAFTA 195 Piccadilly has recently undergone a £33 million refurbishment, which includes £3 million of state-of-the-art technical equipment in 4 floors of spaces and houses the BAFTA Members Club, 2 theatres and numerous spaces for both BAFTA’s Learning, Inclusion and Talent programmes and revenue generating commercial hire.
Alongside this BAFTA has an additional main working office in London over 2 floors and satellite offices in the UK and US

Job purpose
The AV technician provides technical knowledge, expertise and support for BAFTA screenings, events, exhibitions and corporate hires within BAFTA 195 Piccadilly. They will also be involved in advising BAFTA on any future technical advancements and requirements and supporting the Technical Manager in ensuring that BAFTA 195 Piccadilly remains world class in the technical services it provides.
Ideally you will have:
- Good knowledge of all AV formats
- Excellent communication stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under the pressure of live events
- Good timekeeping and attendance record
- Adaptable and quick to learn
- Operation and knowledge of multiple formats of video and presentation formats including:-
- DCP
- Microsoft office suite
- MAC (Keynote)
- Blu-Ray
- Video Files (inc Prores/ mp4 /mov)
- Gaming Consoles
Ideally you will be:

- Someone who can create a memorable experience for our members and their guests
- Flexible, professional and courteous
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Patient and compassionate when people ‘don’t get’ technology
- Presentable at all times and comfortable liaising with guests
