Picturehouse Cinemas are looking for an Audience Development Assistant to join their team.

About Picturehouse

Picturehouse Cinemas operate 26 cinemas across the UK, release around six films per year through Picturehouse Entertainment and distribute alternative content to cinemas around the world.

Picturehouse’s neighborhood cinemas present a diverse programme; ranging from blockbusters to independent, foreign-language, documentary and kids’ films, as well as live broadcasts from the world’s best arts venues, such as the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Bolshoi Ballet and New York Met Opera. Food and drink are integral parts of the experience here at Picturehouse with Cafés, Bars and Restaurants in many of the venues, making each cinema an exciting social hub within the communities.

Vacancy

To work with the Audience Development Team and external agency Dark Matter on developing connections with a range of audiences. The role will involve working on a number of initiatives, but a particular focus will be on engaging with Black audiences and supporting the U25 campaign, aimed at young people aged 16-25.

We are looking for a confident and hard-working individual with excellent communication and partnership building skills who is passionate about film and driven by meaningful community engagement. Commitment to our mission to diversify the Picturehouse audience/experience and a knowledge of and interest in Black Culture and in reaching young adults is essential.

This is a part time role working 20 hours per week during office hours, Monday to Friday. Some working time will be spent at the Picturehouse Cinemas as required. Days will be agreed with the Audience Development Manager, the line manager, for this role.

We offer a salary of £25,000 (pro-rata) plus bonus opportunities and the ‘Picturehouse Staff Package’
