Archive Assistant

Salary: £11.95 p/h (4 month contract)

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, BIFA are looking for an Archive Assistant to join our small but busy team to assist in organising the extensive BIFA archive.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Viewing video footage and photography from previous ceremonies and events
  • Clipping and cataloguing video and photography, along with implementing a tagging system based on talent and themes
  • Working with hard drives, Gdrive and video editing software
  • Assisting with cataloguing and organising footage and photography at the 2022 Awards ceremony in December
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Essential
  • Experience working with digital archives and/or digitisation
  • Experience working with Adobe Premiere, or other video editing software
  • Experience of implementing efficient systems and processes to organise large amounts of information/resources
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A passion for film and cultural preservation
  • Good writing, numeracy and IT skills, particularly Excel/Google Sheets
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Desirable
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom
  • Experience using MS Office, Gmail, Google docs, Notion and Slack
  • Experience working with high profile film/TV talent
