Chief Executive (Maternity Cover)
Wildscreen
Bristol
Salary: £35,000-40,000 per annum
We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader to cover maternity leave for the role of Chief Executive with Wildscreen, an award-winning international wildlife conservation charity based in Bristol. This is a unique opportunity to join the Wildscreen team at an exciting period, as we prepare to host the first ever virtual edition of the Wildscreen Festival, the biggest global gathering of natural world storytellers.
As CEO you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of the 20th Wildscreen Festival and you will utilise your extensive leadership and event management skills to help our small but dedicated team continue to deliver one of the most respected events in the natural history calendar. You will also be required to provide executive leadership and management to Wildscreen and will be responsible for continuing the strategic development of the charity to enable it to flourish in a rapidly changing world.
The successful candidate is likely to have experience in large scale events planning and management, partner, stakeholder and sponsor management and have held previous leadership roles, ideally within the third sector. The role requires an energetic and driven individual who shares our passion for protecting the natural world and has a hands-on approach to management.
In return you will have the opportunity to work with the world’s best wildlife content producers in a city which is regarded as the wildlife film making capital of the world, delivering a festival affectionately known as the “Green Oscars” and helping to inspire a new generation of filmmakers and conservationists.
