LFF Gala Producer

Salary: £35,667 - £41,727

The BFI’s Festival team is looking for a Gala Producer, to work on a full time contract basis from 4 June through to 23 November 2018, to work with a busy team delivering the 62nd BFI London Film Festival between 10 – 21 October 2018.

The post will work closely with the BFI’s Artistic Director of Festivals and Managing Director of Festivals to organise and run all the Festival’s Headline Gala red carpet cinema events, Special Presentations and Headline Gala Receptions. You will lead on all operational processes related to Headline Festival events ensuring that production quality and customer experience are of the highest standard,whilst developing excellent relationships with a series of key external stakeholders.

The post holder will be managing a substantial production budget, looking after the overall financial and logistical planning of all the Festival’s high-level events.

The successful candidate will have worked in event production management and Film Festival environments or related red carpet entertainment fields for several years, and will have a track record of successfully delivering complex events to a high standard, meeting deadline and budgetary requirements. Demonstrable organisational and negotiation skills are required, as is the ability to work under pressure, for long hours in key delivery periods. The post holder will have excellent people management skills, employing a friendly professional manner for mutually beneficial outcomes with business partners, as well as experience in staff leadership and supervision.
