Communications Manager (Cinema)

Salary: £33,390 pro rata

The Communications team manages the Barbican’s relationships with key national and international stakeholders, including the media, to promote and protect our reputation for delivering world-class arts and learning.

Responsible for media relations, corporate, crisis and internal communications, the team develops creative strategies to effectively communicate the Barbican’s world-class arts and learning programme as well as its commercial activities, to a range of audiences.

They are looking for an outstanding Communications Manager (Cinema), part time 3 days/week, to devise creative media campaigns to promote the Barbican’s acclaimed film programme generating coverage across a wide range of arts specialist and national press.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience as a PR professional in an arts environment, with excellent contacts within the film and arts media. It is essential that you have a good knowledge of film, excellent communication skills and excel under pressure.

The ability to collaborate creatively with colleagues and work with both internal and external stakeholders on a large number of projects simultaneously is crucial.
