Six men, each with heavy emotional baggage, meet once a week to talk.
Easier said than done, as several don’t want to be there and others refuse to recognise that they may need help. Gradually, the men offer up intriguing glimpses of their sometimes funny, sometimes painful lives, and as they open up, begin to realise how vulnerable they all are.
Beautifully played, Joy’s honest, warts-and-all film builds to a heartrending conclusion which affirms that whilst there are no guarantees in life, there are often second chances. With Paul Gleeson, Steve Rodgers and Paul Tassone.
