A loving and moving tribute to Larisa Shepitko made by her widower, Elem Klimov, also a successful, iconoclastic Soviet director, most celebrated for his great war film, Come and See. Shepitko died tragically in a car accident in 1979 at the age of 40. This documentary includes footage from all her films and she talks about her life and work. A testament to one of the greatest directors of modern times, often neglected because of her relatively small body of work and early death.
