19-year-old Tommy (Anson Boon) enjoys his life of violence and criminality until one night, on a bender with his friends, he’s abducted by an unknown figure (Stephen Graham – Adolescence). Though no stranger to inflicting harm, he is enraged and horrified when he wakes with a chain around his neck in the suburban home of Chris (Graham), his mysterious wife Kathryn (Andrea Riseborough), and their son Jonathan (Kit Rakusen). This weird family sets out to reform Tommy’s behaviour,  making him into a “good boy” one chilling step at a time. The one thing Tommy knows for sure: he must escape, no matter what the cost.

The latest from Oscar-nominated director Jan Komasa (Corpus Christi), produced by veteran filmmaker Jerzy Skolimowski (EO, The Departure, Deep End) and with an unsettling screenplay by Naqqash Khalid (In Camera), Good Boy is a daring and disruptive work – part black comedy, part thriller – that unfolds like a dark parable of freedom and identity.
