Located in Leicester city centre’s Cultural Quarter, Phoenix opened in 2009 and is Leicester’s centre for independent cinema, art and digital culture, featuring two cinema screens, a gallery space for visual art, a smaller viewing studio and a café bar.
Their film programme gives audiences a mix of new releases, special events, event cinema and thematic programming, and they also host a range of annual film festivals.
Phoenix plans to expand to a four screen cinema in 2020, with a new art gallery, a green roof terrace and more spaces for making and learning alongside the additional screens. Read more about Phoenix 2020.
