Manchester Animation Festival is looking for an Audience Development Manager to join their team.
Manchester Animation Festival is the UKs largest animation festival, with a range of events including screenings, masterclasses, Q&As, workshops, panels and much more. The festival has grown significantly over the first eight years and is now the UKs largest animation festival.
About the role
The Audience Development Manager is a key member of the Festival team, and will take the lead on MAF’s audience development strategy, to develop, diversify and grow their audience through creative and engaging programming and year-round engagement.
The ideal candidate will be creative, organised, highly personable, enthusiastic and confident in working collaboratively with participants, communities and partner organisations. The role is project and people management focused with some workshop facilitation responsibilities. Crucially you will have a strong understanding of the needs and interests of local communities and best practice in arts engagement. You will share MAF’s commitment to excellence, diversity and inclusion in the arts as well as ensuring that the Festival is delivered to the highest quality.
Contract period: The post-holder will be expected to work full-time from October – 8 November.
Fee: £125 per day, invoiced monthly.
Place of work: This post may be carried out remotely (within the UK), but they will need to be in Manchester for the full duration of the festival, and to effectively engage with communities in the city.
