Tyneside Cinema is recruiting now for Customer Service Assistants.

We are looking for applicants who can work as part of a team to assist us in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a high level of customer experience and helping to keep our historic and unique venue well-presented and welcoming for all of our visitors to ensure that the Tyneside Cinema maintains its reputation as one of the finest independent cinemas in the country.

As a Customer Service Assistant you will provide a warm, genuine welcome and maintain consistently exceptional service in all circumstances to all customers and visitors at the Tyneside Cinema. You will ensure that we always look the very best we can and that every opportunity is taken to encourage customers to return. You will also ensure that sales and profitability are maximised to enable the development of the cinema’s programme and audience and to ensure its sustainability into the future.

Our general operating hours are 10:00 to 23:15, although some one-off and regular events may require working earlier or later than this. You will be expected to work over weekends, evenings, and public holidays. You will also work across several different departments – under the remit and care of Customer Service – as appropriate.

All successful applicants must be available to work over the Christmas period, our busiest time of the year.
