An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre as the new General Manager and help shape the future of this extraordinary venue in Tottenham, North London.

Inspired by the vision of the late Bernie Grant MP and designed by Sir David Adjaye, the Bernie Grant Arts Centre opened 10 years ago. The purpose-built complex includes a 274 seat and fully equipped auditorium, multi-purpose studio spaces, a boutique cinema, a clustering of 20 enterprise units, and an award-winning café and bar.

Working closely with and reporting to the Chief Executive, the General Manager is a key leadership role within the senior management team of the Bernie Grant Arts Centre and is responsible for the strategic development and day to day management of the organisation, its programme, operations and facilities.

The post of General Manager oversees the organisation’s internal management systems, policies and procedures – promoting and maintaining an organisational culture which values the highest standards and continuous improvements across services and the venue’s key sites.

To succeed in this role you will need to have a proven track record in arts management, ideally in a busy cross-art form venue. A strategic thinker, able to put policy into practice, you will also have an excellent business acumen able to consolidate costs and generate new sources of income.

A strong leader, with vision and drive, you will need to be a highly motivated, people-person with outstanding communication skills and a passion and commitment to celebrating cultural diversity in the arts.
