Broadway Cinema, Nottingham

Feedback

“A very enjoyable and worthwhile weekend”

The Broadway Cinema in Nottingham played host to this year’s ICO Autumn Screening Days, which proved to be a great success. This is the sixth Screening Days event organised by the ICO and over 120 people attended.

Delegates relaxed and soaked up the ambience in the new Mezzanine bar at the drinks reception on Saturday evening, and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the venue — “loved the Broadway facilities and cinemas, and staff very friendly”.

The event was held over the weekend of 3 – 5 November. Delegates were able to choose from 25 films and two shorts programmes showing back-to-back over four screens.

Julian Schnabel’s touching adaptation of Jean-Dominque Bauby’s best-selling autobiography, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, came out on top as the audience favourite with a score of 87.2%.

Evaluation report

Thank you to everyone who attended the event and for making it such an enjoyable occasion.

We appreciate all the feedback regarding the ICO Screening Days and will take it on board for the next event which will be held at the BFI Southbank (formerly the NFT) from Saturday, 8 March to Monday, 10 March 2008.
