The BFI Film Academy is looking for a team of enthusiastic and committed volunteers to help them deliver their annual film festival.

About the role

Interested in getting ahead in the screen industries? Want to get some events experience in the historic BFI Southbank? We’re looking for people who are interested in the screen industries (Film, TV, Video Games and XR) to help us out!

BFI Future Film Festival, the UK’s largest festival for young screen creatives, will run over four days from 15 – 18 February 2024. The festival will present panels and masterclasses with high-profile industry names, networking opportunities, and screenings of the best short films from young, emerging filmmakers.

Our volunteers will have the opportunity to learn how busy events and screenings all come together at a film festival! You’ll also have the chance to see some amazing films, hear from experts, network with other young creatives, and generally immerse yourself in screen industries!

Volunteers are essential to making the BFI Future Film Festival run like clockwork and if you want to take a peek behind-the-scenes and be part of making it happen, then this is an opportunity like no other.

Expenses for travel (public transport within London Zones 1-6) and food will be reimbursed, plus a chance to enjoy the festival itself. We ask that all volunteers are available for all four days of the festival and for a training session on Wednesday 7 February.

All volunteers must be 18 years old or above.
