Salary: £22,968 - £26,871 pro rata per annum

The BFI are looking for a TV Assistant who will have a central role within the Cinemas & Events team.

The TV assistant will have responsibility for coordinating all TV screening material for BFI Southbank and regional venues and support the TV Programme team across a range of general admin, financial procedures, budgets and maintaining records. The TV Assistant will also jointly administer (with the TV Programmer) the Performer’s Alliance Agreement, the BFI’s screening license for television programmes.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working within TV/media or similar sectors and be educated to degree level or equivalent.  You should be able to work with good attention to detail, have experience of copyright issues and an excellent knowledge of television culture, both in a contemporary and historical context. You will need to demonstrate the ability to administrate & research TV seasons and events as required, providing support to the TV Programme team.

This post will be based at the BFI Southbank (nearest station is Waterloo). This is a part-time post working the equivalent of 2.5 days per week. The hours are flexible and various working patterns could be accommodated.
