Iris Prize is looking for a new trustee to join their Board of Trustees us as they continue to build on their 15-year foundation of sharing LGBT+ film.
Iris Prize is a year-round organisation for LGBT+ film, with a flagship festival each October in Cardiff, Wales. Over our 15-year history, Iris Prize has become a leading voice in championing LGBT+ short film, and a significant event in the British film festival calendar. A BAFTA-qualifying festival for British film, Iris is also home of the Iris Prize £30,000 film award – the world’s largest short film prize.
Building on the success of the Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival (which is produced by The Festivals Company), the charity undertakes work with schools and community groups in Wales to support filmmaking education and raise awareness in equality and diversity.
Iris Prize is looking for a new trustee to join our Board of Trustees us as we continue to build on our 15-year foundation of sharing LGBT+ film.
The trustee will be an ambassador for Iris as we continue to grow as a year-round organisation for LGBT+ film. We would particularly welcome candidates who have lived experience in the LGBT+ communities and are familiar with the business of film production or exhibition. This is an active role which requires a willingness to contribute strategically to Iris’ development and to share in Iris’ vision, values, and commitment to our mission.
