Independent film distributor Vertigo Releasing is recruiting for an in-house Technical Manager

Vertigo Releasing (Vertigo) is an independent all-rights Film Distribution Company that operates in the UK & Ireland, and in select international territories including Australia and New Zealand as well as working with its associated company Sunrise Films which invests in film production and wider international rights and exploitation (including the US). It has also recently launched a speciality physical sub-label, Visions Home Video.

About the role

Vertigo is looking for an in-house Technical Manager to support the Head of Operations & Physical in managing the end-to-end deliverables workflow for all technical materials requirements across the business. They will work closely with Vertigo’s labs; vendor partners (cinemas, digital platforms, broadcasters) and licensors to ensure that all films are delivered to the highest technical standards and on time. The role will report to the Head of Operations & Physical.

The ideal candidate will have some experience of working within the film or TV industry in a technical deliverables role (maybe in house at a distributor, sales agent or in a post-production facility / lab) and have strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail. They should have demonstrable experience of prioritising multiple tasks in a busy work environment and be a creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. Additional interest in editing and asset creation an advantage.

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

• Some prior experience with the technical deliverables process
• At least basic knowledge of common digital file formats and codecs, including DCP
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to work on own initiative, working accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines
• Good communicator both verbal and written
• Computer literacy

Key details

The annual salary will be £35,000 per year (based on experience) plus benefits. This is a full-time role, with hybrid (remote and office) working from home and at Vertigo’s offices in central London. The start date is 1 April 2026.
