Special Events Open Call

London Short Film Festival

London

Salary: £300 curatorial fee

Curator? Collective? Have an inspiring, exciting, audience-focused idea for a short film programme?

Each year, London Short Film Festival’s Special Events strand consists of independently curated, collaborative screenings and events from a range of collectives, independent curators and partners.

For LSFF 2026, we’re looking to work with new curators and collectives, as well as those we have worked with before, and invite proposals for programmes to make up next year’s programme.

We welcome radical ideas, archival explorations, deep-dives on filmmakers or movements, programmes for families and children, programmes that reflect diverse and myriad lived experiences, and screenings that incorporate performance or live scores.

We welcome proposals from early-career curators as well as established programmers and collectives, and particularly encourage applications from those typically underrepresented in the sector.

For inspiration or to learn more about the kind of screenings we commission, take a look at the 2025 Programme archive on our website.

We aim to select around 10 Special Events from this Open Call. Curators will receive a £300 fee, plus an additional event budget.

How to apply

Please submit your pitch via this Google Form. Deadline to submit is Sunday 8th June 2025, 11:59pm.
